What is Intergroup

Our Edmonton Intergroup Committee exists to support the groups in the Greater Edmonton area in their common purpose of carrying the AA message to the still suffering alcoholic by providing and coordinating services that are difficult for the individual groups to execute.

The Edmonton Central Office Society has been organized by, and is responsible to the supporting district member groups from Area 78 of Alcoholics Anonymous. The Districts 10, 12, 40, 46, 53, 55, 57, 60, 61, and 64 work together for the purpose of coordinating the services that individual groups cannot provide alone.

How to Get Involved

Most AA members participate by going to meetings at their local groups. But there are many opportunities for service in AA, and most of us have found that volunteering to do service improves the quality of our recovery. We freely share our time and talent in an effort to stay sober and carry the message of Alcoholics Anonymous to those who are suffering from alcoholism. In other words, you get what you give.
